Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Simple App Inc., doing business as Simple Interface (“Simple Interface,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use RepX, getrepx.com, and related services (the “Service”). It should be read with our Terms of Use.
If you have questions, contact david@thesimpleapp.io.
1. Who we are
RepX is a recruiting and field-team product. Accounts are created with a phone number and an SMS one-time passcode. The Service may also include team tools, recruiting pipelines, in-app chat with GIF search, push notifications, and company branding.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Phone number and OTP. Your mobile number is the primary account identifier. We send a short-lived OTP by SMS to verify that you control the number. We store the phone number with your account. OTP codes are used to complete sign-in and are not kept as a standing password.
- Account and profile data. Name, role, organization membership, and settings you provide.
- Contacts and recruiting data. Names, phone numbers, notes, stages, and related records you import from a device or enter in RepX. This data is used to run recruiting and outreach workflows for your organization.
- Messages and chat GIFs. Message content you send, including GIF search queries and the GIFs you select or share.
- Push notifications. A device token used by Apple Push Notification service (APNs) so we can deliver alerts you enable (for example, messages or recruiting activity).
- Device and usage data. App version, device type, approximate diagnostics, and basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Website data. The public site at getrepx.com is a static founder surface. It does not require an account. Standard hosting logs (such as IP address and user agent) may be created by our hosting provider when you load a page.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts via phone OTP.
- Provide recruiting, team, messaging, and related features.
- Send transactional SMS OTP codes and optional push alerts.
- Resolve GIF searches and display company brand marks.
- Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and debug failures.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate about the Service, including material changes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Customer Content to train public foundation models.
Organization admins can see member and recruiting data for their organization. You control whether your phone number is visible: if you turn off phone sharing, it is hidden from everyone in the organization, including owners.
4. Processors and other recipients
We share information with service providers who process it on our instructions, and with others when you ask us to or when the law requires it. Current processors include:
- Supabase — stores account, organization, and application data and supports authentication-related backend functions.
- Twilio — delivers SMS OTP messages to the phone number you submit. Twilio receives the destination number and message content needed to send the code.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — receives a device token and notification payload so Apple can deliver pushes to your device.
- KLIPY — receives GIF search queries and related request data so we can show and send GIFs in chat.
- Brandfetch — may receive a company name or domain so we can display that company’s logo or brand mark.
We may also disclose information to professional advisors, to a successor in a merger or sale of assets, or when we believe disclosure is required to protect users, the public, or the Service.
Members of your organization can see Customer Content that is shared inside that organization (for example, a recruiting pipeline or a channel). Do not put information in RepX that you are not allowed to share with that team.
5. Retention
We keep account and Service data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
- OTP codes are short-lived and are discarded after they expire or are used.
- Phone numbers remain tied to the account until the account is deleted or the number is changed.
- Contacts, recruiting records, and messages remain until you or an organization admin delete them, or until the account is closed.
- Push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled on that device and are removed or rotated when you disable notifications, sign out, or the token is replaced.
- Backups and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.
6. Your choices
- Account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under You → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, messages, and event registrations. You can also contact us at david@thesimpleapp.io if you prefer.
- Phone number. You can change the number used for sign-in when that control is available in the app, or by contacting us. Changing a number may require a new OTP.
- Push notifications. You can disable them in iOS Settings. That stops new pushes; it does not delete your account.
- Contacts. Device contact access is controlled in iOS Settings. Revoking access stops new imports; records already saved in RepX remain until deleted.
- GIFs. You can choose not to search for or send GIFs. Search queries you do submit are sent to KLIPY to return results.
- SMS. OTP messages are required to sign in with a phone number. If you do not want SMS codes, do not create or use a phone-OTP account.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, correction, portability, or to appeal a denial). We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. Send requests to david@thesimpleapp.io. We may need to verify the request, typically via the phone number on the account.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a phone-OTP consumer and workplace app, including TLS in transit and access controls at our processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your phone and OTP codes.
8. International processing
We and our processors may process information in the United States and other countries. Those places may have different data-protection rules than your home jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact david@thesimpleapp.io and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page or communicated through the Service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
